How Do You Measure Spirituality? PDF Print E-mail

By Pat Harrison, President & Founder

On his second missionary journey, the Apostle Paul spent eighteen months in Corinth, establishing the church there. He continued his correspondence and care for the church after his departure.

Corinth was an important and well-known city in its day. Because it was a busy shipping port, what happened in Corinth would soon be known throughout the region. Also, it was well-known for its chief deity—Venus, the love goddess, and the thousand “sacred” prostitutes who served in her temple.

As all people do, the Corinthians brought their culture (thought patterns, values, philosophy, priorities, moral and ethical standards) with them into the church when they got saved and born again.

Has Your Resistance Been Eroded? PDF Print E-mail

By Lonnie Hilton, National Director & International Vice President

A lot of financial, physical, and relational pressure is coming against people right now, but that is nothing new. What concerns me is that I’m seeing people give up and quit on God.

The purpose of all these attacks, all this pressure, is to erode our resistance to the enemy. When we allow the erosion of our resistance to his attacks, we will become self-centered and weary. Then we’ll stop working and fighting. The devil would love us to settle for second best, back up on the Word, and quit fighting the fight of faith because at that point we’re no longer a threat to him. That is the enemy’s goal—to stop us from obeying God and reaching out to others.

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20-21 (NKJV)

Asia Update PDF Print E-mail

In April, Pastor Terry Meechan and I traveled to conduct a Leadership Summit in The Philippines and a Relational Gathering in Singapore.

A major focus of the FCF strategy for missions is Sustain. When it comes to our family members who reside in other nations, the annual leadership summit or relational gathering is often the only opportunity to come together. These times are precious as our ministers are encouraged through God's Word and the fellowship.

Adjust and Thrive

Gary DeVoe, Media Director

“Fall back, spring forward,” adjust the clock, adjust the body—it’s all part of the yearly ritual. But as I age, the time between the events seems shorter and shorter. I had just gotten used to “falling back” when I had to “spring forward,” or I have sprung back and it’s now time to fall forward? Either way, we have to deal with time and seasons.

La Biblia dice que la risa es buena medicina. Tómese un descanso y ríase, o llore y luego ore. Tal y como solía decir Pastor Buddy: "Esto le hará bien y además le ayudará."
